Calum Gallagher sold

Tell that to Swindon Fans....they're gutted he left.

We're asking him to play as a sweeper regularly in Warbs style of play...any keeper in the world save maybe Neuer would have to adjust.

As for Gallacher, meh. Hardie is better. Seems Warbs thinks so too.

its not just his ability with his feet I don't rate its also his composure, handling a and bravery. There is not many keepers who can play as much as we are expecting with their feet, one thing any keeper who can does have in abundance though is confidence.

Think the Swindon fan you are quoting said himself his opinion was not a common one.

Edit just seen your other post.

I had seen him play before a couple of times he was poor in both games. Don't agree he is good at crosses when under pressure. Think he has dropped at least one already and was caught under the ball for the hibs goal that was chopped off.

Hardie personally I don't really rate that highly, think Gallagher was stronger with his back to goal with a better first touch and movement. Would have liked to seen Gallagher play in the McKay role out on the right think he would have scored a few like millers recent runs at the back post.

My mate's son played with CG at Alloa (when he was on loan) and said he had the worst touch he had seen, but couldn't fault his work rate.

Er...I'm quoting their entire fanbase as he was their POTY.

Remember Andy Goram throwing one in his first game and looking a nervous wreck his first few games...he went on to do not bad I think.

I've watched every Brentford game available to me since WB arrived and you know what? I'd hate to be his keeper in a game - it's all about attack - there's going to a lack of defense at the back and yet, he wants the ball played to feet. It's a tough ask for any keeper but I think he did well yesterday and I've no idea what you're expecting, given the system save Neuer himself.

The guy's a proven good keeper who's old club were desperate to keep - that says enough for me. Put Stefan Klos in that sweeper keeper style and he'd be dreadful....we're an attacking outfit now.

I think Wes will do just fine but anyone who's watched Brentford would be a fool to judge a goalkeeper on his clean sheets.

agree he is under more pressure than most keepers would expect or want. It will take a keeper who is naturally very confident in his ability to succeed in the role. Personally don't think he has that kind of determination or belief in his ability. Something that will only get worse as crowds get bigger and the pressure increases.

I obviously had a preconceived idea about his ability before he came here and nothing I have seen so far i am afraid has dissuaded me from that belief.

Sorry thought you were quoting the Swindon fan piece about him, the guy waxed lyrical about how good a keeper he was.

Haha typo , should have read mourhino , but touche ,my bad lol

I was wondering as well lol.

Love Jose but Warbs is a mile away from his ethos. Almost the complete opposite actually in football tactics.

The beauty of the game is that both approaches can work.

Their one similarity though is that both can create a fervent loyalty amongst their players.

Tell you what.

We disagree but ten league games in let's return to this.

If you're right and the general fan consensus is that he's a dud...I'll send you a song just for you, saying you were right.

If not, you do the same.

I so love conviction in beliefs.
