Frankie 8,665
If we wanted a new deal it should have went to tender. Poor show and against the constitution the board themselves put in place. That being said I am too happy to give a feck. Roll on Sunday. FWIW, this is the reinstatement of a contract that was initially tendered in 2012.
trublusince1982 243
FWIW, this is the reinstatement of a contract that was initially tendered in 2012. doesn't really mean much when its from 2012.If the offer is good or beneficial to the club and cannot be beaten or expected to be beaten, then no reason to not be transparent and open it up to tender now. Don't think there are many fans who want us to go back to the way things were run pre CG. Why was the contract replaced with bruces? Have not heard anything negative about this contract and thought bruce was a gers fan also? What happened to no director having contracts at the club? Contract probably awarded by the easdales, they were also self professed Gers fans.Want them back?

It does mean something when the initial contract from that period (won via a tender) was apparently discontinued and given to another company. I believe Park's chose not to pursue this legally to avoid problems for the club. Clearly, the new board feel it's best to reinstate this initially agreed contract now due to the original circumstances. With that in mind, Park's have previously had the contract for decades and I don't think anyone has ever complained of the worth of this whereby, I'm reliably informed, they provide the coach service at a favourable charge (though actually spend more than this in hospitality in any case). I don't know if the Bruce tender is equally or more beneficial and I'm sure they will soon speak up if they feel hard done by.
colinstein 294
unless there was a sweetener involved. Who is Bruce coaches and why would Greenco award them the contract over Park. You would have thought Greene would have gone for McGills at the time
