Ticket farce proves that Rangers have no sporting integrity

JAMIE gives his view of the play-off ticket controversy and says that the proposed allocation proves Rangers are running scared of the Hibees.

It seems integrity is still low on the list of priorities at Ibrox these days, despite everything.

The miserable ticket allocation for a game which is not your ordinary league encounter only proves that. If they squeeze past Queen of the South, Rangers' nerves are well and truly jangling at the thought of the mighty Edinburgh Hibees bringing the bounce to Govan.

It has been confirmed that should Rangers progress on Sunday, Hibs will only be allocated 950 seats out of a whopping 51,082 capacity stadium.

They must be hoping that this season's stay away fans are going to make a dramatic return.

No doubt the Hibs support will do their best to be heard down in the corner regardless, making up just over one percent of the gate on the night - should the game be a sell out.

The whole ticket row may be academic come Sunday anyway. If QOS can manage to overcome this ordinary Rangers team, and Hibs will be allocated a more reasonable 2900 tickets for a stadium that holds 8,690, just over 30% for the travelling side.

Now I'm fully aware Rangers are a far bigger club than Queens, but this is a two-legged semi-final play-off and a fair ticket allocation should be provided for the away team.

I am sure that over 2000 tickets will be made available for travelling Rangers fans to Easter Road. It's only sporting after all...

We will see if the good old SPFL has something to say, but given who we're talking about here, that input will no doubt be about as loud as a fart in the wind.

If it's within the rules, why would the SPFL have anything to say on the matter? Haven't both Hibs and Hearts cut our allocation at their stadium this season?

We've been repeated arsed about by all and sundry recently, and as soon as we decide enough is enough and we should look after our own using the exact same rules, sporting integrity is brought into question...

A Hibee-jersey-clad troll is allowed to spill his bile in the DR then.

Well ...

Maybe he did note that while we sure did not fill our 51k stadium to the hilt this season, averaging 31k over the season, the Doonhamers have a 7,300 capacity and averaging 2,700 this season. I take it that QotS need every single chap that ventures through the turnstiles, so it is quite natural that they lower their trousers here.

Did he actually bother to check how many tickets were being picked up by the Hibees in their previous games at Ibrox? Did he check how many Bluenoses picked their allocation at Easter Road and how "large" that was?

Do we actually bother?
