Guys like Zidane and Puyol of Barca before them enjoyed the same exposure. In the days of Pele we really only saw him once every 4 years in a World Cup Finals...we knew he was a great player because the 'experts' told us so and it was so. Jairzinho of Brazil stood out in that incredibly talented side of the '70 World Cup regarded as the best team ever at the time and in my mind still are. Jairzinho scored in every game of that World Cup campaign, including the final, so gets my 'best ever player' vote of all time, because he stood out, even more than the great Pele. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
