pete 2,499
Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has been called up to the France squad for the first time. Flamini was not selected in the original party to face Argentina on Wednesday but Raymond Domenech had to look elsewhere after losing Philippe Mexes to injury. Flamini got the nod following a series of impressive performances in recent weeks for The Gunners. "Philippe Mexes is out for the match and he is to return to his club (Roma)," said a spokesman for the French team. "Mathieu Flamini has been called up." Marseille centre-back Julien Rodriguez has also been called up as cover for Lilian Thuram, who has not played for two months due to calf trouble. Sebastien Squillaci (thigh) and Eric Abidal (rib) Not Rangers class?
