Ibrox Burgers

Recommended Posts

Im nested up at home recovering from neck surgery bored out my toenails and cooked myself a wagu Japanese burger - awesome. The smell reminded me of a burger before games in the days I used to attend Ibrox...1994-2005.....

As an opinion how are Ibrox burgers these days???? or is there any good hot dogs or burgers from stands outside the ground..thats where I preferred to buy mine.

I think food will always be over-priced in stadiums to maximise revenue. They have a captive market and on the limit on how much they can sell - so can't reduce the price and increase numbers of sales.

Contracting out will always make this worse as the contractors are only interested in maximising profit and don't have to worry about affecting repeat business.

Not sure I agree with all of your points here.

The food kiosks at Ibrox could easily sell a lot more if the quality was better and the price was lower. Stick Burger King in there and they'd sell at least 3 or 4 times as many Burgers at cheaper prices.

Strangely enough, a lot of the folk who use the food kiosks in the concourses don't even know they're handing over cash to a sub-contracted catering company which is essentially just renting the kiosks. A lot of the fans actually think that by buying that stuff they're giving money directly to Rangers.

Conversely, there's also plenty fans who don't use the kiosks because they know fine well that Rangers is only renting them out and that the company renting them is selling vastly overpriced food.

Bottom line though, is that Rangers must be missing out on some serious revenue from those food kiosks. IMO, the Club should look to separate the hospitality catering contract from the concourse catering contract and either take the concourse catering in-house or rent it to the likes of Burger King or as rbr said, Greggs.
