The 3rd Semi Annual Gersnet Dinner with Guest, Rangers Historian, Robert McElroy

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at despair re May 23 as I sit, listening, on Saturday afternoon

Don't worry Steve, you and I can have a wake on the 23rd.

The good/bad news is that Robert is quite happy with your topic of "Rangers - The War Years".

It has to be said that barring Falkirk doing us a turn and our lot rising to the occasion at Tynecastle a move to the 16th is looking increasingly likely.

If it comes to that - can someone record Robert for me?

That shouldn't be too difficult, if he has a script I'll see you get it.

But chin up, you never know......

Also if we should finish third and lose the tie v QoS the dinner will take place as scheduled.

In the light of yesterday's result I have edited the OP as follows:

Please note that if Rangers finish 3rd in the League and win the Play-Off Quarter Final the dinner will be moved to Saturday the 16th of May at 5.00pm for 5.30pm, again subject to date or kick off time changes imposed for TV.

Please note that if Rangers finish 3rd in the League and lose the Play-Off Quarter Final the dinner will be take place on the 23rd of May at 5.00pm for 5.30pm or later if there is a consensus to move the time as we would have no game.

Counter Credit

Colin Stein BGC Paid £21.50 Balance £124.52

So that's 10 paid + CHM committed to 2 so we have the first 12 needed to breakeven and go ahead + Speaker = 13 places taken now.

We just need another 7 to get the restaurant to ourselves.

I have invited all the RFB members earlier today and have a commitment from one with wife so far.

So I make it we have 10 paid and commitments for 6 others as yet unpaid + speaker, so we really only need 3 more to get the restaurant to ourselves.
