the gunslinger 3,366
If he wasn't playing we would have got beat. You know better than that.
ian1964 10,761
Who would have performed that skill and created the goal in Vuckic's absence? Ian Black? Fraser Aird? It's impossible to say what would have happened under different circumstances but given Vuckic's decisive influence and how poor the alternatives are, my conclusion seems accurate. Of course you would think your opinion is accurate, but only you!
the gunslinger 3,366
Maybe whoever played instead of him wouldn't have stopped a couple of feet from the guy who had the ball numerous times and we would have scored 6.

pete 2,499
Vuckic cleared the ball once off the line and once a yard in front of the line beating a player he tracked back with to the ball. That was 2 certain goals. One player can never win a game but Gunslingers vision of Vuckic is just totally stupid and shows totally no insight or knowledge of football. Yes he also did make a few bad passes but what player doesn't in a match.
trublusince1982 243
Nope, the team won,it's a team game, did noboby pass the ball to Gazza,or Vuckic?,not pedantic at all,and no comparrison,IMO. don't think the saying is meant as a factual representation of how the game was won. More a feeling of thank f$$k for so and so and highlighting his contribution in vital moments as being of utmost importance .
