The differences in women football can be quite stark, up until the last few years City was ruling the rest of the game in a similar manner (not least because they snatched all talented players from any other team in Scotland, including us). Only these last three season have our team (essentially created anew in 2008) provided stiffer opposition, alongside with the Hooped Horrors and perhaps Spartans. The same issues can be found in e.g. Germany as well, where 2 to 4 teams dominate all the rest in the league. Generally, league teams from Germany, France, Sweden, and to a lesser extent Norway, England and perhaps Italy are those to watch to get a good idea about modern day top notch women football standard - not least due to the fact that these are actually professional sides, rather than semi- or "full time" amateurs. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Glasgow City have signed Scottish Premier League Player of the Year, Kerry Montgomery from Spartans. Glasgow City sign striking legend Julie Fleeting and last but not least of all ...
