Douglas Park statement.

Recommended Posts

It is blatantly obvious we now have men in charge with our best interests at heart , but could we please keep Paul Murray away from making statements

Murray is one of them. So stop being a sheep on the 'hate Murray' wagon (you're on the wrong site for that kind of nonsense) and grow a set of your own.

EXCLUSIVE: I have cash for Rangers – Brian Kennedy

BRIAN KENNEDY is open to the possibility of helping fund Dave King’s Rangers revolution

The owner of Sale Sharks rugby union club had previously tried to buy Rangers and also joined forces with the Blue Knights in their bid to take the Ibrox club out of administration – but lost out to Charles Green’s consortium.

King is ready to sink more than £10million into the club and confirmed he is looking for added investment from fans, the Douglas Park consortium and other businessman such as Kennedy.

Kennedy, above, said: “My door is certainly open to the possibility of investing in Rangers.

“You can never say never but Rangers have genuine Rangers people in charge of the club.

“They are people who have the interests of the club at heart and want to get them back challenging at the top of Scottish football again.

“I haven’t had any contact with any of the new board. I’m sure, once the dust settles, we will sit down and talk to see how I can help to take Rangers forward.”

South Africa-based King is waiting for the green light to see if he passes the SFA’s “fit and proper” test before he takes over the role of Gers chairman.

The new board have already began mending relationships and the club’s greatest player, John Greig, will be guest of honour for the midweek Ibrox clash with with Queen of the South.

Meanwhile, new director Douglas Park claims no individual will be allowed to abuse Gers again.

Park said: “This club has been badly neglected and used for the benefit of individuals.

“There has been an absence of corporate governance and time will be required to study the various contracts and deals which have been put in place.

“If further shocks are lurking among the paper and electronic trails, so be it. They will have to be faced and dealt with.

“But the abuse of this club is at an end. Now it’s about the future and I believe we can all look forward with optimism.”

Anchorman has history of being a loose cannon, just my opinion btw.

Not a particularly helpful opinion to air in public here though.

Stay on topic please and take the personal jibes and squabbles to private messages. That applies to everyone.
