The Real PapaBear 0
Japanese baseball has a rule, unique to itself, that if a team is getting severly humped by 10 runs the game is called, under the 'Mercy Rule' to prevent further unnecessary humiliation to the losing team. I bet Man City wished this game was being played in Yokohama. Edited February 24, 2015 by The Real PapaBear
BrahimHemdani 1
There is a similar "unwritten rule" in Major League Baseball, that you don't attempt to steal a base if you are up 10-0, especially late on in a game. And that applies both to the team in the lead who would be considered jackasses for attempting to humiliate the losing team and the team that is losing because it is considered futile. As it happened in this game it didn't turn out SO bad for Man City but they obviously didn't read Javi Gracia's script, although it's a different thing at home obviously; but perhaps they can employ his tactics away. http://www.espnfc.com/spanish-primera-division/15/blog/post/2313915/how-malaga-beat-barcelona-and-what-manchester-city-can-learn-from-it
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Last night once again showed how overrated the Premiership is (apart from Chelsea) and how mediocre City are.
pete 2,499
We also have a rule, I am not allowed to humiliate the wife when we are in a pub. Doesn't always work though.
