I was wondering if some of them arrived very early or slunk in a side door; otherwise there would have been no Rangers Directors to welcome the Raith Rovers Directors to the Board Room before, during or after the match.

Utterly disgraceful.

Interesting point. I wonder who welcomed them?

Kenny McDowall, he'll do anything for a years salary, upstairs suit on, welcome, greet, serve drinks and lunch (as they've got rid of all those members of staff as well), clean the executive bogs, change into tracksuit, go downstairs, this time create shit through team choice, this is part of the reason he looks consistently miserable.

The Newcastle loan squad must think this is how all Scottish people look, because the management team and players all look like that, at the moment, the fans are much the same, because of what is served up on the pitch.

RANGERS chief executive Derek Llambias and board chairman Sandy Easdale have been told to stay away from today’s cup tie at Ibrox for their own safety.

Senior Rangers sources say the pair were advised not to attend the match against Raith Rovers by club security chiefs.

The club refused to make any official comment on any threats against the men and police have insisted they are “unaware” of concerns relating to security. Both men have been accused of undermining caretaker *manager Kenny McDowall over the arrival of five loan signings from Newcastle United.

McDowell said Easdale and Llambias told him to play Slovenian Haris Vuckic, English defender Remie Streetem, Burundi-born Gael Bigirimana, Swiss defender Kevin Mbabu and Northern Irish winger Shane Ferguson.

Llambias, 58, was installed as the club’s chief executive last month. Under the conditions of multi-million pound loans, Sports Direct and Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley was allowed to appoint directors.

Ashley has an 8.92 per cent stake in the club, and he and Rangers face hearings before the SFA over possible breaches of dual interest rules.

Supporters reacted with fury when the club’s board decided to hold the general meeting called by Dave King in London on March 4. The move was condemned by the Rangers Supporters Trust who said it showed “contempt” for the 5000 small shareholders.

But a spokesman for the Trust said he did not think the pair faced a threat from fans.

He added: “I think they will get abuse but I don’t think they are in danger. The directors’ box is totally cordoned off at any game.”
