MoodyBlue 0
He might expect them to appoint a manager, so he can get back to filling the position he's contracted for. The board is doing this arse for elbow, sort out the management, then sort out the players. McDowall should be nowhere near Rangers - in any capacity.

Little General 80
What does McDowall expect ffs?! He - along with McCoist - have presided over an absolutely disatrous period of football for several years. He then gives his notice to leave, basically too greedy to walk. I'm sorry - we all know who we feel about this board - but on the picthc has been a shambles with dreadful performances and utterly gutless displays on a regular basis. McDowall is a clown and he has helped creat this circus on the field. Deal with it Kenny - or f.ucking walk and get another job elsewhere please !!! and this board has presided over the most disastrous period in our history, yet for some reason the seem to know better than the man employed to make football decisions. whether you think McDowall is good, bad or indifferent, he should never be dictated to in football matters by the board. imo this is the board trying to ingratiate themselves with fans, thinking that if the football improves, it may improve their fortunes.

buster. 5,185
Despite appearing the 'anything for a peaceful life' type, Kenny McDowell hasn't been slow in going public in a straightforward and honest way to show what is going on in matters that directly concern him. We could do with his type on the board !! -------------------------------------------------- What he says is further evidence that the football operation continues to be used as a tool in the ongoing 'War', rather than having a board that ever considers the medium or long-term,.....never mind giving scant importance to the short-term. The days of Mad Vlad were derided and laughed at but what we have at Ibrox is a lot worse because of the ingrained, determined, calculated, spin-backed, carefully planned to give a little (but take a lot more), 'heavyweight shark' aided and abetted by 'won't let go sp.ivs'. The soul of our club is at the edge of a cliff. --------------------------------------------------- It was Rangers, it's becoming Sports Direct Reserves. We can still get our club back but we need to act. Edited February 5, 2015 by buster.
Darthter 542
We have these 5 players now, so they should get a chance.....but as someone else said - No-one should have a guaranteed starting place. If they perform, they keep their place. Can you imagine the embarrassment of being dropped in favour of Jig....that should spur anyone on.
chilledbear 16
Easdales want to play up front next week, Somers at right back ( come to think of it ).

buster. 5,185
Maybe Llambias can do away with the manager role at Ibrox and save some more money for his boss to be able to take away with another hand. Perhaps they could centralise the managers role with a Joint Caretaker and John Carver could add his tuppence worth of advice to Llambias in a weekly 10 minute phonecall. Sends out a loud message to all managers out there that only the meek need apply if the job were to come up. This is further backed up by the situation at Newcastle. Sends a loud message to players to disregard Kenny McDowell. Sends out a loud message to dressing room that they should divide. Clearly states that the board consider the football way behind the interests of MASH / Sports Direct. MoodyBlue 0
Clearly I'm in the minority on this one - which is fine. When it comes to on field performances though, enough is enough. The current lot don't care - and most of them are guaranteed a place as it is. See McCulloch, Foster, Wallace, Black, Law, and so on. So - if it means we bring in better, hungrier players then so be it. And if it means the lies of Black and McCulloch are chukced form the team then all the better. I'm not saying this is the 'ideal' way for this to come about. However we have incompetence on the pitch and incompetence in the dug out - something has to give if we want to see improvement. With the 'current' mob I have absoluetly no confidence that we would go up through the play offs - noen at all. Maybe this bit of tinkering with the team can at least give us a chance of that. No-one is stoppimg McDowall going other than himself. He has been a failure at Rangers and does not justify more money.
