gisabeer 409
I wouldn't be surprised if lord Lucan came down the marble staircase on the back of shergar. I half expect them to be on the short list for the managers vacancy. Expect the unexpected folks. And something that doesn't cost any money either.

Jim1955 12
To paraphrase Shakespeare "Something is rank rotten in the state of Denmark". This board should hang their heads in shame, but they won't! Manifest incompetence and it is entirely down to them. I can't see a queue of candidates clamouring to be the next Rangers manager until there is a change of regime.
RANGERRAB 3,743
i think his normal duties are as assistant manager and coach. Those WERE his duties were they not. His duties now are as Caretaker Manager
Yorkshire Bear 0
One way to get rid of Jig is to give him the managers job. He'll resign in a few weeks then everybody will be happy.
True_Ger_1872 2
Could Magath come in and ask the board for the job and in return - use his voting rights in their favour at the upcoming EGM?? Just a thought....albeit unlikely.
compo 7,217
This time next week, Jimmy Bell will be Boss. it might end up like the old lottery advert a big finger will come from the sky to a fan saying it : could be you :
JohnMc 2,801
McDowell never wanted the job and seems to be saying he's unable to do it. We should respect that. Gordon Durie stepped down as East Fife manager because the of the toll it was taking on his health, there's no way he's capable of taking the Rangers job, even short term. If Jig does get the job on a temporary basis I hope we all support him. It's worth remembering that the mess the club is in is not the fault of any of the three men named above.
Frankie 8,663
This isn't a huge surprise as McDowall didn't look comfortable with the position at any point. As for his replacement, well, it could be anyone but I doubt there will be an external appointment.
