That sounds a bit too convenient for Somers and the Easdales regarding their duties.

Makes no difference. As they are Board members they will still be culpable. Ignorance is no defence in the eyes of the law.

No one would want that scenario, especially after the D&P mess.

Why hasn't an EGM been filed, it is up to the money men now, as has been previously seen, we fans, and even supporters groups have no real power.

There's no point in filing for an EGM unless the situation can be changed.

With that in mind, we're probably too late with respect to the security/loan and King/Park are probably still below 50% + 1 vote to remove directors.

That's why tonight's protest is worthwhile in my opinion. If it's well attended (and it looks as if it will be) then that may give King/Park the confidence to know they now have enough fan shareholders (up to 12%) to opt for an EGM.

In any event, that's still only plugging leaks in a failing dam.

MA would only have security over Ibrox, so how could he do a leaseback

If we did default, even then MA wouldn't own Ibrox and it would be sold to the highest bidder.

It may be fairly easy for MA to agree to wipe out the debt for ownership of the stadium and to make it that nobody else could bid if he controls the board. Th board could, for example, refuse to enter into a sale and leaseback with any other party except Ashley, (in the same way as they are refusing finance from anyone else). It could be set up so that an EGM if required was a formality.

Ashley has shown that he's very clever when it comes to this sort of corporate manipulation and his advisers could well have a strategy all mapped out.

He may win the war, but he will lose the peace. Rangers supporters will not accept failure on the park, if we're getting hammered by Celtic on a regular basis and are struggling to beat Aberdeen etc, then the support will simply drift away, merchandising sales will slump and all he'll be left with is some property in a run down part of Glasgow, We're not Newcastle, they at least have the consolation of playing in the EPL against a good quality of opposition...we don't have that.

Not to mention chances are we may not even be in the top league. Players have pretty much chucked it already, a bad result tonight and crowds will be lower than ever.

I've yet to hear anything from MA, T3B, DK or whoever tell us how they intend to fund a vastly improved Rangers team on the park.

Too many of us have forgotten that

Agree - we have yet to hear a strategy, a vision, a plan from anyone.

Again, the fans are kept in the dark about everything.

From both the good guys and the bad guys this has been handled absolutely shockingly. And alol the while the football side has slid into an utter shambles and we will probably be in the Championship for another year,

That assumes we actually get promoted :P

Putting to one side that there is a battle for control raging at the minute, have any of the outside parties been given the type of access required to be able to reveal that sort of detail?
