gisabeer 409
Sandy Easdale having the Toxic PR rat Jack Irvine running around trying to spin nonsense about him saving us from the brink while insinuating that King, Taylor, Park & Letham haven't helped while ignoring their previous offers of funding and investment? It's perfectly clear who's fannying about and causing trouble here and it ain't Dave King or the 'Three Bears'. he probably believes his own spin is the truth.
Zappa 0
he probably believes his own spin is the truth. It wouldn't surprise me. Irvine peddles so much bullshit and lies that he probably finds it difficult to keep track of what's true and what's not.
trublusince1982 243
personal opinion should take a back seat at this moment. the only priority and all energy should be extended safe guarding the club. complete stupidity to insult someone like easdale and then expect them to still do the right thing. King obviously doesnt have the measure of them yet and until the club is in safe hands should shut up.

At least wait until Easdale is safely removed from office before goading him.
andy steel 0
Correcting puerile press releases which completely misrepresent the situation is neither 'stupidity' nor 'goading', it is establishing fact over bullshit. That said, when you have your boot on the enemy's throat you do not lift it.

JohnMc 2,801
Yeah, I'm sure Dave King needs business advice from us.

That said, when you have your boot on the enemy's throat you do not lift it. You have to recognise the kind of person you're dealing with here though. There's a caveat in a very positive post in another thread: "as long as current board and Ashley don't do anything completely silly". Don't give them any excuse to throw a tantrum.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
There is no need for King to drop to Irvine's level though. Unless, of course, he's absolutely sure about what he will achieve now. You have a rather peculiar way of seeing the world.
der Berliner 3,803
How has he dropped to Irvine's level ? You are joking, right ? King said what needed to be said and it was the TRUTH. None of it was spin (as is Toxic's MO) and it was blunt, forthright and patently factual. So.... how is it that he is sinking to Irvine's level again ? I've not said that he has, but he's sitting at the other end of the table and will most likely negotiate with one or two of the Easdales. You can do that with spitting foam or you can do that in a way you would expect of a future Rangers director/chairman/owner. Throughout this affair, King has always adopted a rather hostile approach and like it or not, as long as Somer, Wallace, Easdale and Ashley are/were in place, do you expect them to deal with such kind of behaviour heads down and all? Even if they are in dire straits as of now? At worst, they can still decide to make any takeover as complicated as it gets, just because. They have thwarted him time and again. As I said before and others have said, he can spare his ammo for the time he's done his job and claimed power. Right now, he should simply work for the best interest of the club - essentially like Park, Letham and Co. have done.
