elfideldo 411
I have been warning what I've been watching under the current regime for quite a while. Some people who have probably never seen one of his teams come on and defend him. The decline will continue.
jhunter 0
Are there not quite few players out on loan? are they "missing" from this age group or is it just total lack of any talent coming through?
Zappa 0
Are there not quite few players out on loan? are they "missing" from this age group or is it just total lack of any talent coming through? The young players out on loan are allowed to play in these 'U20' slash 'development league' games. From tonight's starting line-up there were 3 Gers players starting who are out on loan: Luca Gasparotto (Airdrie), Daniel Stoney (Stranraer) and Tom Walsh (Stenhousemuir).

Although Stoney and Walsh only played first half, maybe something to do with their loan agreements. Those to attacking midfielders were replaced with Ryan Finnie (a full back) and Kris Gibson (a centre back). Now well into a second season at this level without ONE left footed player in the squad. Can there be a squad anywhere in a similar position ?

What would you want to see changed?
elfideldo 411
Recruitment isn't the problem a lot of these players are decent players, but are no better than they were 2 years ago their development has stalled. There are talented players in every age group, the 14's and 15's particularly, but once they are under the wings of the senior youth coaches they will be told to "hit the channells" and any notion of passing will stop. Not a word on the official website so last night didn't happen, if they ignore it, it will go away. What needs to change ? On the football side everything.

It's not that the first team hasn't suffered such reverses and no-one from the club was or is willing to splash it onto the front of the HP that fast. They are usually rather quick when it comes to the "academy reports", but does anyone really expect them to be willing to instantly report on such desasters? No club does that.
