Gribz 919
We're not going to get anybody with a bit of form. Look at C1888c, even Keane said they didn't offer him enough money and they had to settle for Ronnie. If they dump Ally we'll end up with a no-name for sure. Look at the quality of the board then figure what level of coach we'll get. That's not to say that there are not some new and good coaches out there. Agreed. That's why there is a realistic list and an unrealistic list and an affordable list and an unaffordable list. We need a organised manager / assistant / coach to settle the team, bring in morale, get a system going on no budget. Its a 6-18 month task to do that, then we can maybe start to set our sights higher. Some people must think we are still in the Advocaat era.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Come back into a bit of reality...a Premier League / Championship manager? Their wages would dwarf McCoists. If Lennon struggled to get a job in the second tier after winning leagues and being in Champions league how are we going to attract the likes of Steve McLaren (who is a guy Id have liked but he isn't going to leave high flying Derby.) You have slated Malky Mackay before and he is at bottom 3 side Wigan. If we go down south it would be from someone from a 3rd tier side. Warnock might get the gig! He is a Premier League manager. I have never once slated Malky Mackay, not sure where you're getting that from. Yes, premiership/upper championship wages I said. McCoist earns almost as much as Pardew does, and more than the majority of championship managers. McCoist earned more than Lennon did, so not sure why you mention him. Steve McLaren? What does he have to do with anything!

I would hazard a guess there are few teams in the Europa League who pay managers £400k a year. There's your starting point.

And you could guarantee that we would be better served with one of these unknowns for that kind of money? You who have bemoaned the many millions that have been spent at the present time, and for which you say we have gone backwards. Would you trust the present board to do the selection?
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
My feelings on the board are well documented. As are my feelings about Ally. I also firmly believe if we sacked the three stooges on the touchline and let the team pick themselves they would fair no worse, or even better. I don't think many of them would have voted for taking Miller off and putting on calamitous Foster, one of the most bizarre substitutions I have ever seen. Did we revert to 3 at the back (or 5 should I say) with Foster playing RWB? It's so hard to tell when you're playing 10 men in defence. At several points in the game we had our entire team in defence, not even Daly in the opposition half. It looked like we were trying to preserve a 1-0 defeat. I gave up second guessing our tactics a long time ago. I think it was about the time we started playing Shota Arveladze in midfield.

Super Cooper 0
Meanwhile, over at Hearts: “The players are back in tomorrow morning at 9:30, but I’ve given them a day off on Monday. It’s a special treat for winning today. Well, only some of them are off, not everyone!" That is outstanding. Boy that club are hungry, hungry to win, hungry to develop. hungry to make the most of their chance in this sport. The joke is most certainly on us.
