Darthter 542
then we don't fund them. they will learn eventually. a green type would never raise cash again like green did. So we don't fund the club, and possibly reply on administrators to determine the fate/future(again) - it's a VERY dangerous game to play!!!
buster. 5,267
I notice in Brian Kennedy's statement he says the board "were unable" to include MP as a security. It might already have gone Journalist's might like to follow that up.
the gunslinger 3,366
So we don't fund the club, and possibly reply on administrators to determine the fate/future(again) - it's a VERY dangerous game to play!!! we only fund the very best. people need to run us properly or we do not fund them. once that message is out there and enforced then we will be run properly. their will be no other choice. never reward bad behavior or failure. always a huge mistake.
charltonman 19
Can't help but feel that Dave king needs an irony check . he's asking us to DO something but so far he's not actually DONE anything himself , apart from flying over and a few meetings . Mike Ashley has been very clever, he's got effective control for buttons relative to his own wealth . He also know that making Rangers successful is the only way he'll make any real money but there's some speedbumps to get over in terms of owning more than one club . DK says he wants the same thing . Its easy enough to set up share classes that pay different amounts so DK has over 50% ownership but profits are split differently . Or set up a football services group that provides to both clubs . So FFS pick up the phone to each other , go 50/50 , get the wee diddies off the Board , put some cash in , get Ally some help ( or another job) And ....stop telling us we can't go and see our team . You do your job , we'll do ours
Hildy 0
There won't be a boycott on an organised grand scale, but it is foolish to deny that several thousand individual boycotts are already taking place, and Rangers is not going to properly recover until the off-field issue is resolved to the satisfaction of those who are no longer attending. Essentially, if nothing changes, the future is for Rangers to be a weakened club with a diminished support. People can trumpet their loyalty endlessly but thousands of fans have moved on from proclamations of faith to demanding answers to searching questions. Until the ownership/boardroom issue is fixed, Rangers is going to be a club operating several degrees below its potential, and the longer this situation continues, the potential for Rangers to be as powerful as it used to be will diminish. The choice is fairly simple: continue as we are and be a shadow of what we used to be, or bring the whole thing to a head - and there is risk attached here - and attempt to get the club operating normally again.
Zappa 0
Mike Ashley has been very clever, he's got effective control for buttons relative to his own wealth . He also know that making Rangers successful is the only way he'll make any real money but there's some speedbumps to get over in terms of owning more than one club . I've got absolutely no idea where so many people are getting the idea that Ashley will try to make us successful in order to make money when he can make plenty of money without making us successful. He's owned Newcastle for over 7 years and they've arguably only had one semi-successful season in that time. Fair enough, Ashley clearly does like his football, but any notion of him having caught Rangersitis off of Charles Green or getting involved with us for unselfish reasons is pretty far fetched stuff. It's verging on moonbeam territory.

charltonman 19
Zappa, but Newcastle can be financially successful just by staying in the Premier League . Rangers need to be in Europe to get anywhere close to the kind of return he'd want .

Zappa 0
Zappa, but Newcastle can be financially successful just by staying in the Premier League . Rangers need to be in Europe to get anywhere close to the kind of return he'd want . Newcastle have already been relegated from the EPL under Ashley's regime though and that's only during a relatively short time of just over 7 years. All Ashley really needs from Rangers is for our fans to keep buying merchandise from Sports Direct.
