buster. 5,261
Amazing to think that lad Robertson was playing for Queens Park less than 18 months ago ! England played well and it was alway going to be difficult to produce that level of intensity/performance, so soon after the Ireland game. We actually go off lightly with 1- 3. Gibraltar next and a good chance to ease our way back in to things next March.
Super Cooper 0
Bannan, Gordon and D Fletcher are 3 disgraceful choices for the national set up. 2 tims and a Celtic player right enough. Kind of sums McGhoo and Chesney up. Surprised he didn't find a space for Commons and Forrest. After being so good against Ireland, Mulgrew had a stinker. Didn't know if Scott Brown was playing or not and that lad up front Martin is rank rotten. 3 men down form the off. Was always going to be hard.
MoodyBlue 0
'The amazing atmosphere' 'The incredible Tartan Army' 'Wonderful Gordon Strachan' 'The strong Scotland side' All these myths were completely put to bed last night. Scotland couldn't even sell all their tickets for the game they class to be their biggest enemy. England fans out-sang the 'Tartan Army' for vast majority of the game. England played well, but also within themselves - and were comfortable in victory. England players not phased one bit by the so called 'intimidating atmosphere' - which it clearly wasn't . Scotland and the Scottish nation were getting ahead of themselves because they drew with Poland and beat the mighty Oirish. Scottish fans criticise England fans for being arrogant and bumming up their sides chances all the time - eh, what have Scotland fans being doing recently ?? Let's be reminded that the spine of the team is essentially Hanley, Brown and Chris Martin/Steven Fletcher ffs !! Great singing from the England lads last night - fair play

Let's be reminded that the spine of the team is essentially Hanley, Brown and Chris Martin/Steven Fletcher ffs !! Great singing from the England lads last night - fair play I think that is partly unfair. Scotland have been playing well under a manager who seems to be the right man in the right place at the right time. He has moulded a lot of fair to decent players into a team that produces more than the sum of it's parts. We are in a very difficult group but are digging out results and have given ourselves a fighting chance. Last night was a friendly, where a tired team came up against an England side that performed to a high level after a mediocre display on Saturday. I'm just glad that we got our priorities right and picked up the three points last Friday. There is a feeling of optimism around the national team that hasn't been there for years and whilst we recognise we aren't going to win the competition, there is no good reason to dismiss the progress since Strachan took over, nor the feel-good factor that presently exists.

Great singing from the England lads last night - fair play England have a 53 million population and have been complete and utter failures for decades. They should have one of the best squads in the world but their current side is terrible, given not so long ago they were packed with later stages champions league level players. We have come a long way in the past couple of years and the side deserves plenty praise. It's rare to see a Scottish side attempt to play football and not set out with cowardly tactics.
