There have been a couple of profiles about him in the press in the last couple of years, this from the BBC is as good as any http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29463560

He's really young and has never played professional football, he's basically been a football coach all of his adult life. He's been heavily involved with a number of SFA initiatives with youth coaching.

The question remains, is he the next Jose Mourinho or the next Andy Roxburgh? Time will tell.

Either would be a huge improvement.

Manchester City are in advanced talks with Swansea City over signing Wilfried Bony, BBC Wales Sport has learned.

It is thought that it would take more than £30m to prise the Ivory Coast striker, 26, from the Liberty Stadium.

Why dont they just recall the legend that is John Guidetti......lol

We were linked with him a while ago. I really like his ideas but like last time there will be nothing in this.

he is they type we should gamble on. that said i really have my doubts about him personally. i suspect he would be a disaster.

but he could not be any worse and maybe worth a shot.

RANGERS have made a ‘formal offer’ for Valencia assistant coach Ian Cathro, according to a Spanish radio station

COPE radio are reporting that the Ibrox club have approached Cathro in relation to the managerial post at Rangers.

Kenny McDowall was appointed caretaker manager following Ally McCoist’s departure, but suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat by Hibs in his first match in charge before guiding Rangers to a 3-1 win over Dumbarton.

It is believed that the Rangers board are actively exploring options beyond making McDowall a permanent fixture, and Cathro, who played youth football for Brechin City and Forfar Athletic, is thought to be high up on the list of candidates.

He divides opinion, some see him as a breath of fresh air others as a bit of a crackpot. He must be doing something right to be where he is.

I believe he started coaching at 16 and Craig Levein took him on at Dundee Utd after his team outplayed and showed better technique than the United kids they played against. Levein then took him on at the SFA when he was Scotland manager.

I have only seen his United team twice and although they always tried to play a passing game and completely refused to kick the ball up the park despite losing both games by a few goals. At one of the games his behaviour on the touchline was a touch bizarre.

Below is a link to his coaching programme he sells to boys clubs.

I've heard from some that he is a complete dick and very, very few people get along with him. Not necessarily a bad thing right enouigh
