buster. 5,257
Are people still buying this? Same people who bought the line about Green&Co having to have Rangers perform well as a club and company to be able to make any money ? Don't forget to spin the regular 'financially logical' line about the "Champions League" aswell. Sometimes used blatantly, others more subtley. Get the support to connect XX (then CG, in this case MA) with CL and a rosey future.
der Berliner 3,808
Are people still buying this? Feel free to give us your views on why Ashley invests in Rangers then.
forlanssister 3,114
So you dont think being owned by Ashley would give us the financial security we need? And surely people must realise Ashley would need a successful Rangers in order for him to make any money? That means investment and he'd have a lot more to offer in that respect than the KIng & co offer last week Are Newcastle United successful?
der Berliner 3,808
Are Newcastle United successful? Can Newcastle be or did they actually have a chance to be successfull?
forlanssister 3,114
Can Newcastle be or did they actually have a chance to be successfull? Of course they can and of course they do. They were relegated in their second season under Ashley is that the kind of success we should be looking for under Ashley?
RANGERRAB 3,742
Are Newcastle United successful? No theyre not but are you using that as a comparison to Rangers if they were owned by Ashley? Surely not.

They were relegated in their second season under Ashley is that the kind of success we should be looking for under Ashley? And back in the relegation zone. It's not that long ago they were a top 4 club and they were in the premiership for 16 years before his arrival. He is universally hated by their support because he is a horrible, insidious arse of a man.

They were relegated in their second season under Ashley is that the kind of success we should be looking for under Ashley? The kind of money required to be successful in the EPL is eye watering. just look at Man City and Chelsea. Ashley isnt willing to spend that sort of money at Newcastle hence he'd be willing to sell. Success at Rangers with an easier route into Europe may be more appealing to Ashley however. And most important of all it would not cost anywhere near as much as it would at Newcastle

Like when they got to the last 16 in the CL do you mean? Until Ashley came Newcastle were regularly in European football.
