Stimpy 0
Not sure if it'll benefit us when we do eventually play under the lights of Ibrox in the CL again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29562047 One can only hope!
Super Cooper 0
So does this then benefit Celtic?
Stimpy 0
So does this then benefit Celtic? Not sure mate. Another article - Record I think - stated the top 7 leagues will see their champions qualify. Can't us being in the top 7 though a few decent result could propel us there.
RANGERRAB 3,668
So does this then benefit Celtic? We've absolutely no chance whatsoever of CL qualification so long as Ally remains in charge. Malmo or Maribor ring any bells?
Rangersitis 0
The days of two Scottish teams qualifying for the CL are all in the past.
Bearman 9
The Champions League is a farce even by name, it's only for rich clubs now the rich clubs are fighting among themselves about who should be seeded and who shouldn't. Bring back the old format where it's exclusive to Champions only and the game in Europe will flourish.

I agree in principle, however, if UEFA did that the champions would be Real Sociedad, Southampton, Hoffenheim, Rennes, Udinese etc with games played in front of six men and a dog while everyone else is at home watching Juventus v Real Madrid in the new breakaway European Super League.
rbr 1,256
At the place Scotland is at the moment the most important things are that the team in the C/L earns coefficient points , but more important is the Europa league teams and that's where we are consistently let down , the 13th place is all important as that is the cut off , if you look at the countries around that figure their Europa league teams all contribute

You are obviously too young to remember the Europeans Champions Cup, big crowds great atmosphere for clubs fans involved in it, but you're happy to watch some other competition without real champions.
