Amy To Sing At Charity Ball

THE Rangers Charity Foundation is delighted to announce that award winning singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald will be making a special appearance at the Rangers Charity Foundation’s Halloween Ball and entertaining guests with several songs.

Our Halloween Ball will take place at the Hilton Glasgow on Saturday 1 November and is sure to be a night of gothic splendour that the Count himself would be proud of. Tickets cost £100 for person (minimum booking 2 places on a shared table basis) or £1000 for a table of 10 and includes a drinks reception, 4 course dinner with wine, entertainment and a complimentary gift.

Connal Cochrane, Manager of the Rangers Charity Foundation commented, “We are delighted that Amy is supporting the Ball and singing for our guests. We have been lucky enough to have her support in the past when she promoting our limited edition pink Rangers shirt, which was a huge success. We can’t thank her enough for her generosity.”

Amy burst into the charts aged just 17 with her debut album, This Is The Life, that included massive hit singles ‘Mr Rock and Roll’ and ‘This is the Life’ and reached number one in the UK charts. Her second album ‘A Curious Thing’ won ‘best album’ at the annual Tartan Clef Awards, "best international album Rock/Pop" at the Swiss music awards and reached number one in the charts. Amy also won "best international Rock/Pop Female" at the Echo Awards.

Her third chart-topping album ‘Life In a Beautiful Light’ includes

Good to see that some of our "more vocal" fans is helping the Rangers Family along.

A few years back and talking about Alan McGregor getting caught up in a post-night-club meet-up with a girl and a couple of his friends (IIRC). The girl at the time claimed that something happened and quite a few people were rather rash in their comments when this news first broke, (a younger) Amy included. All done and dusted now.

There are quite a few people having a go at her about this, kindly forgetting their own comments about him when he decided not to TUPE over to newco (and helping the club via a transfer fee) et al. Likewise people can't stop mentioning that she decided - for once - to sit in the Falkirk ranks when they played us in the Cup Final ... because of her then-lover Stevie Lovell was playing for the Bairns. Again, when you read these people's comments about our players after certain games, you start to wonder ...

IMHO, she's gone a long way to prove where her heart lies in terms of football.

NB: Just in case somebody missed it, she's got a new relation more closer "to home".

And you wonder why we have some "celebrity" fans that think twice about "outing" themselves as bears. It seems you get just as much abuse from your own kind as the bheasts these days.

Very sad indeed.

It's a fair point.

Not only do we expect 'celebrity' fans to tell the world about their Rangers allegiance, if any aspect of their attitude is inconsistent with more fundamentalist attitudes, they are quickly turned on - and then it gets personal and distasteful.
