STV Reporting both Boyd and Mohsni offered suspensions

Recommended Posts

I do not think we should accept this, we should appeal. Chances are the bans would then be longer term.

I doubt Mr.Nash would sanction the 2,000 pounds required to appeal given the visible case for the prosecution and IMO, he'd be right.

Would need to look closely regards the Hibs player (v Boyd) but that isn't really relevent now.

I'd guess the compliance officer has looked very closely and judged that the 'forwards motion' with heid comes from KB.

This might mean the Hibs player has played the situation in a 'cute' manner looking for the reaction.

I think Boyd has been looking generally frustrated of late and his action here wasn't surprising.

Boyd's head clearly move towards the Hibs man. Bad enough that he lets himself down, but given the frustration levels understandable. YET, if Boyd is charged here, so too should be the Hibs player.

I don't see how you can say that. The Hibs player a) grabs Boyd b) behaves aggressively toward him and then puts his forehead agianst Boyd's head. Boyd's action was not a headbutt; he waspushing the Hibs player away. It's the Hibee who should be getting done for this, not Boyd.

I do hope our beleaguered manager has the balls to confront the SFA over the fact the HIbz players seemed to be getting off with this. They were just as guilty IMO

Rangers Football Club has accepted the offer of a fixed suspension of two games for Bilel Mohsni following an SFA Notice of Complaint.

Due to SFA disciplinary procedures, this punishment will become a three-game suspension for the defender following his red card in the pre-season friendly at Derby.

However, the club has not accepted the offer of a two-game fixed suspension for Kris Boyd and the player will appear at a Principal Hearing next week.

That's 4 times he's been ordered off or found guilty of an equivalent red card offence in 13 months at the Club, is this a record?
