Frankie 8,562
Always surprises me just how far a few people are prepared to go to defend dubious people associated with the club while taking aim at their fellow supporters.

It's the ignoring of facts which is amazing. Again it's been said in this thread that 50000 season tickets wouldn't even see out the season.

Again it's been said in this thread that 50000 season tickets wouldn't even see out the season. Some are definitely intent on ignoring not only the facts but the behaviour of relevant people. While we're all entitled to our opinion (and I note there was no-one banned last night for airing theirs) I find it difficult to judge a few folk's intentions when it comes to some issues. No-one is saying fans can't be criticised for not attending games - that would be daft. However, totally missing the reasons why just detracts from such an argument. The facts are this - tens of thousands of fans have stopped going. Not because they want to but because they have a complete lack of trust in those that run the club. And the reasons for that lack of trust have been detailed time and time and time again. It's really pretty simple, not nice and quite upsetting, but simple nonetheless.
Super Cooper 0
For all you guys who refuse to support your club, shame on you all.Watching the game over here with a few of my Canadian friends, So this is the mighty Rangers you're always braging about asks one buddy. I'm lost for words, and I am truely embarrassed.(okay we won tonight) but the stadium is practically empty, with no atmosphere. On our recent north American tour,we had sell out crowds, and way more atmosphere(noise buzzing for 90 mins.) I'm not sure what's holding you guys back from picking up your season tickets, but I am sure that you are killing our club.as I said before,SHAME ON YOU ALL. The cost of keeping Ally i am afraid.

Genuine passion is fine too, which is where Wasp is coming from. However, sometimes I wonder if there's an ulterior motive to blatantly ignoring the facts. Going to Ibrox was long seen as the weekly pilgrimage and now half of those supporters have made the decision not to go....same of those fans have been going longer than a lot of us has been on this planet. The fans going never get stick for funding charlatans as we respect people wanting to watch their team. Perhaps some respect is due to the fans who've made the biggest sacrifice in this mess.

I find it difficult to praise fans for not going. I completely understand why (I didn't buy a season book either after 15 years of doing so) but I don't want thanks for it as I feel uncomfortable for stopping going. However, it's that obvious discomfort that should help the critics realise why so many fans feel so strongly that they've had to go to such lengths. Sure, criticise but be prepared to acknowledge just how frustrated fans are rather than dismiss their reasons.
