simplythebest 0
I really couldn't care what stb thinks, Wallace would simply be replaced by yet another well-paid patsy who would willingly do their bidding for them because he was being enticed by a big, juicy bonus. Games are being played in the battle for hearts and minds and I for one am sick of it - no matter what direction it is coming from. And there was me looking to add my wisdom as well.

Tannochsidebear 2,429
I wasn't even going to open this thread as another blog full of Jack Irvine's pish via Merlin is not what I (or any Bear for that matter) need to read right now. But given it got 40 or so replies quite quickly got my curiosity stirred so I read on. If that had been written by Peter Lawwell and posted on CQN I would have understood it more. That it seemingly came from a bear, and wasn't written in irony, is beyond belief. Clearly McMurdo is enjoying the limelight and the inside stories and loves being able to leak stories as an informed blogger. He is no more credible than the RTC blogger in my book, using a one-sided slant on supposedly confidential information which will only damage the club, our club, his club, by its publication.

Juancornetto 1
Oh this gets us nowhere for sure. Nor will anything but an out an out boycott. The more people who realise that the better. This group of controlling shareholders must be got rid of or we go nowhere fast. It's the only way GS, plough all the money into share schemes and don't give them a penny. It might only take a month and they'd bail leaving a trail of 1p shares in their wake.
Tannochsidebear 2,429
The problem I have with the above coupe of posts is that there can be no certainty that an out and out boycott would lead to this set of shareholders selling up. Previous pressure applied has only got them digging in deeper. My fear, shared by many, is that if things get so bad, the sale/leaseback of our stadium will be inevitable. Some say this has been the aim from the start. Being plunged into admin 2 doesn't work either, given the lack of right-minded people available to buy us out, and no doubt the opposition to this from the existing lot sensing more easy pickings available. I am now pretty much firmly in the camp that we will have to buy our club back, bit by bit, piece by piece, by getting as many Rangers fans as possible the world over to buy as many shares as possible to get us up to a position where we can pool them together to demand a board seat, then a veto position, then a buy-out position. If we can get the right conditions, media exposure, spin and good old fashioned luck, Rangers fans will respond to our hour of need. Our history shows that we always do.
buster. 5,257
The IPO gives Green's salary as £360k with options to the value of twice that which assuming like Stockbridge's is @ 70p = 1,028,571 shares. One has to wonder what is the most incompetent McMurdo's arithmetic of Deloittes omitting the facts from the accounts? There is the possibility that thinks God will turn it into 2,000,000 if Green ensures the timely arrival of the stipend . The bullshit is getting more blatant. You'd imagine that there is a reason for that.
buster. 5,257
How much does it cost to sell your Rangers supporting soul nowadays? You can understand your everyday sp.iv from afar sniffing money and wanting a share. That is their MO and they have few morals that get in the way. However McMurdo (a 'Rangers supporter') and what he has been doing really 'sticks in the craw'. If you see him as an extension of another 'Rangers supporter', Jack Irvine.....then I guess he's following a path already trodden. However, to put yourself forward as a blogger when in fact you are an agitator is beyond the pale and IMO dishonest.

I think we're all entitled to our opinion but there's a difference between offering that in an honest fashion (contrary thoughts or otherwise) and doing it for other reasons. McMurdo certainly appears to do the latter which I find impossible to comprehend. If money is his motivation over and above the well-being of the football club (and it's difficult to suggest otherwise) then he's a type of Rangers fan that I've never met before. What's worse is that some people seem to enjoy and agree with his blogs? Really is a bizarre situation.
