chilledbear 16
Wallace has very little say on anything. McMurdo echoed this earlier.
Zappa 0
Wallace won't survive trying to do what's right for rangers . Nope. Just like Craig Mather before him, the writing is now on the wall that Wallace will be gone in no time and probably with his 100% bonus as a pay-off just like Green, Mather & Stockbridge.

the gunslinger 3,366
No doubt as soon as we have the cash.
craig 5,199
Which of course are utter bastions of journalistic integrity and accuracy. That they may not be, but this Board has previous for quickly becoming legalistic when the mood suits. The fact they haven't suggests there is merit in the one pound claims.
Zappa 0
Who recruited Wallace? , Technically, the board recruited him which at the time only consisted of Stockbridge & Bill & Ben the flowerpot men, but the Wallace appointment was almost certainly under advisement from the NOMAD, Daniel Stewart & co who were the ones actively looking for new directors at the time. IIRC, Norman Crighton was recommended to the NOMAD by Laxey Partners and Daniel Stewart subsequently advised our board to appoint him, then came Wallace a week later on 20 November & two days later Somers was appointed Chairman, an appointment which I believe was another Daniel Stewart & co recommendation.

The fact they haven't suggests there is merit in the one pound claims. The club saw fit to come out with a statement on the ongoing court case last night. It had every chance to deny the £1 story and didn't do it. I think we are on reasonably safe ground if we believe it to be true.

Zappa 0
Was Somers not in there prior to Wallace arriving? Aye, you're right actually. Somers was appointed as a non-exec director (and 'acting' Chairman) on 7 November, followed by Crighton a week later on the 14th. Wallace was appointed on the 20th and then Somers was appointed as permanent Chairman on the 22nd.
