True_Ger_1872 2
Rules are rules. Shame it was only a minor administrative issue which has caused this to fall through....
compo 7,044
all these clubs have had weeks for transfers why wait until the last minute , do away with this stupid transfer window crap imagine being in business and being told you can only hire at certain times you would go bust .

Whosthedado 1,685
I'm not just saying this because it's the bheasts but what is the point in having a transfer "deadline" if teams can then go beyond that deadline with an appeal??? Personally I would scrap the windows anyway and go back to the old way(I was going to say the good old days but didnt want to sound like my Dad) :-)

barca72 440
FIFA have granted the appeal such that the deal can go through, he is now a C1888c player. Now they are petitioning UEFA to have his registration backdated to before the deadline so that they can have his services in the group stages immediately. Those few minutes beyond midnight, you see, would mean that he was not a registered player with UEFA and so he would not be eligible for a UEFA tournament until after Xmas. Ask Legia about a few minutes and an unregistered player.

I haven't followed this story in any depth, but the deadline for being available for the EL was not the same as the end of the transfer window. I believe it was 25 hours later.
