Home to over 70,000 members.........quite a remarkable number.

There can't be many other such forums in the UK with such a number.

There is no way on earth that FF has anywhere near that number of members , I dont want to get into a rival forum bashing mode , but strip out those who have been banned over the years, for example my user name is still listed , and those that are no longer with us and those that no longer log on and I would put money on there being more than 3-4000 active users

As a general rule of thumb the figures on the various Gers forums for number of members can be divided by approximately 10 and you will get a figure which isn't a million miles away from the number of active forum members.

In other words, it's in the region of about 10%, so in the case of FF a figure of 7k would be FAR more accurate than 70k.

I'm not going to argue numbers and neither am I hear to promote anything but whatever formula you use, it is a veritble non-stop metropolis of cyber activity measured within the footballing messageboard world.............I find it quite remarkable !!

Hey, GS - what exactly would be the "right" way to take this - as in what other way to take it is there?

It's a sign of just how out of date the website is. That's all you should take from it.

Sandy was a friend of my family and mentor as well as friend to my cousin. No disrespect was meant at all.

I've got no idea if this is strange or not, but it certainly ghosted under the radar due to other events today....
