fitbaliketheolddays 0
Children, please. The Takeover Panel requires anyone building a stake in a target company to make a mandatory bid once they have acquired more than 29.9% of a company’s share capital; this is because the Panel deems it to have effective control. The mandatory bid must be at the highest price at which they purchased shares over the last 12 months. I believe the 90% reference is to the fact that if at any point along the way the predator acquires acceptances of 90% or more, it has the option to invoke compulsory purchase procedures for the remaining minority of shares. Fook off - I want 30% of yer bovril or no deal - RAB has my back

fitbaliketheolddays 0
As I understand it - there is no real deal to the bars at Ibrox. We changed to someone we pay on delivery (i.e. upfront). That is how low Greenco have put us for new beer contract
the gunslinger 3,366
But if someone managed to acquire 29% then they'd only need to offer 90% of the highest shareprice in the previous 12 months for remaining shares do they not ? not a lot of money by any means is it?Some of the institutions may now want out surely? They need to offer. No one needs accept

I know what Rule 9 is but others seem to have difficulty with it. The "mandatory" part is a bit of a misnomer as it's easy enough to gain a dispensation as a look across the city demonstrates, I imagine anyone finding themselves over 30% as a result of the impending rights issue will be granted one if they so desire.

der Berliner 3,744
db - I cope with my REAL woman from Duisburg's ignorance of "soccer" but sometimes lurking here, I see you as troll and winding. Last time at Ibrox you sat where? Speaking about glass houses and stones ... In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
