ian1964 10,761
I would think the most significant drop in attendances in Scotland over the last 2-3 seasons will be over at the home of the BHEAST
Rangersitis 0
One of the biggest disappointments is that the directors don't seem to care and are doing nothing to try and address the missing fans' issues. Agreed. Fact is while some games will be boosted by more walk-ups (via the non-renewal of season books) many more will just see lower crowds as people make a match-per-match decision. The lack of up front capital must be hurting the club yet we're seeing next to no alternatives offered by the board. This is where the arguments of those critical of the 'anti-board' groups fall down. It is the board/investors who are charged with bringing money into the club. The easiest way is by using a fanbase which has shown previously that it will dig deep. Managing to alienate them is some feat, and one which hasn't gone unnoticed by the city. They will be certainly be attempting to do something behind the scenes, but it will most likely be extremely unpopular. Jack will be busily lining up something to deflect the flak.

Super Cooper 0
The fans are trying to show their displeasure but the club just ain't interested in listening. They can't afford to make the change needed. Perhaps if the man in question had the clubs best interests at heart he would walk for nothing and waive his huge pay off sum. That would help us immensely.

Those in and around the board who have been and are progressively squeezing the cash/taking 'their cut' had two main issues regards their ongoing control and revene stream as the 'Dsyfunctional Lying Circus' (Rangers board) came towards the end of 2013. 1. Executive Control: They achieved this at the AGM. 2. Getting Fans Onside with Open Wallets: They appreciated problems, lied throught their teeth and put the membership scheme on the table. Number Two has been a difficult nut to crack as more and more supporters see through the guff.
der Berliner 3,807
I would think the most significant drop in attendances in Scotland over the last 2-3 seasons will be over at the home of the BHEAST And we of course have a dozen or so articles whipped up on that topic after half a handful of games ... ahem ... nope. We didn't. Honestly, that OP's article for all its "impartial reporting of facts" is complete and utter dross to hurl a negative story into our faces - after three wins in a row. And it does not give us anything new or unexpected. WE knew what would come, we - and they - predicted what would and now they make a story of it. A story that obviously leaves out some smart facts about Friday and Monday nights too. You do indeed wonder that once we've got our financial "problems" straight what sort of story will they try to whip up. These trolls IMHO will milk our plight - and primarily our plight - till the cow is dead ... and anyone reading it should be aware of that. For after that, it is back to Dolly milk in that great realm of the Scottish football world. Then again, they can still sing from the "sectarian hymnsheet".
der Berliner 3,807
Oh well, in that case it's all ok. You can do much better. Yet, the longer I read these and other replies of yours, the more I come to the understanding that you have Rangers at heart for different reasons than most other Gersnet'ers.

I think the big story at present is 'How are we going to get our financial problems sorted out ?' You write as if the "problems" were a relatively insignificant bridge to cross. Forget whoever else and what they may say and address the "problems" At least you have been consistent over the years..................

buster. 5,257
Ohhh, do tell. He won't be able to, he seeks to cast the 'evil eye' or discredit you without offering anything, never mind substance. Reminds me of being savaged by a two day old, three legged lamb.
