I suppose in some ways it depends what you want to believe - Ive even seen some on forums saying "I knew Ally would get it to click eventually", suggesting we have turned a corner.

Or of course the impoverished opposition meant we flattered to deceive.

Given the woeful performances against Hearts & Falkirk - I know which one I tend to go with.

It's quite easy to make things click when you have a squad earning nigh on £10m and are playing one of the worst teams in world football.

I think you are being harsh on Clyde, There are thousands of teams in Europe who are worse than them. There are hundreds of teams in Scotland who are worse than them.

Clyde are crap - I don't see anyone disputing that in the same way teams like Berwick, Peterhead, Annan and Elgin were when we played them in Division Three two seasons ago and failed to beat them.

Difference was, on Monday night, we played a lot better and that's why fans are entitled to be a bit more upbeat. I'm surprised folk want to retreat into negativity after such an enjoyable game.

Does one swallow make a summer? Of course not and my opinion on the manager's abilities certainly hasn't changed - however Monday shows we are capable of playing good, attacking football so it's up to the manager (and players) to deliver this on a much more consistent basis whether the opponent is crap or not.

That was my point....the players/team have shown that they CAN play decent football, all be it against a poor side. The big test for them is to now carry that over into the next few games.

Remember the Motherwell game a few years back.....excellent performance that hasn't been replicated since....

Who are worse than Clyde? Pub teams?

There is the Highland League, the Lowland League, The South of Scotland League, the East of Scotland League, the Scottish Junior Football Association, numerous Amateur leagues al of whom are worse than Clyde.

Sometimes I question whether you are a troll.

As Frankie says above - we struggled against the likes of Clyde over the last couple of seasons. The fact we managed to hammer them 8-1 IMO shows we are moving forward - albeit very slowly.

May as well include boys club and female teams too if we're being that pedantic.
