Rangersitis 0
How could he be an eligible player if he was suspended FFS? Because it's in the rules.
BrahimHemdani 1
How could he be an eligible player if he was suspended FFS? See #159, I think that was a slip and he means "registered".
BrahimHemdani 1
Because it's in the rules. Excuse me but don't you mean he can and should have been registered but was NOT "eligible" to play or would not have been eligible to play until the second leg v Celtic.
Zappa 0
Because it's in the rules. The rules are a total farce if they result in a team which won 6-1 Agg over two legs being knocked out because they fielded an ineligible player for a couple of mins at the end of the second leg at a point where his inclusion should have had absolutely no bearing on the result.
RANGERRAB 3,741
Legia weren't thrown out either. Celtic were awarded the tie 3-0 and went through on away goals. Stuttgart lost 4-1 at Elland Road following a 3-0 win in Germany. There was a play-off because Leeds were awarded a 3-0 victory which tied the aggregate. Nonsense. Stuttgart won 3-0 at home and lost 4-1 away but would have gone thro' on away goals. But they fielded a fourth foreign player.UEFA then ordered a 1-off replay at a neutral venue Now call me a cynic but does even you not think Legia got one hell of a worse deal than Stuttgart who even got to replay the game after winning the tie ?

And all the dhims were at Harthill and beyond by the time this guy came on as a substitute

Rangersitis 0
Yes I can see that although I think you mean regsistered rather than "listed as an eligible player" or perhaps the first time he would have been regsitered as listed and eligible since Apollon but I get the point. However, that still leaves the question of when the flag would go up against his name at UEFA HQ (unless the tem lines are submitted electronically it wouldn't be immediate) and still leaves my first two questions unanswered. Use whatever term suits. His name would have been entered on the squad list v St.Pats. When it was received by UEFA they would have removed on of the games from his suspension. And so on. There are countless players at clubs who don't get registered to play in matches for various reasons. UEFA couldn't enquire about every one of them. A complaint from Celtic wouldn't have been needed for a suspended player and I have no idea if it came from them. I haven't seen anything stating that.

It's not nonsense, it is just that you are too thick to understand the processes involved. Leeds were awarded the second leg by a score of 3-0. This 3-0 scoreline is not just something that is grasped from thin air.
Zappa 0
Legia beat them 6-1 fairly and squarely, so this whole thing is now into the realms of shamelessly using technicalities to cheat your way through to the next round of the competition.
