Under the new rules shouldn't I be top of the 3 with 42 pts vecause of 4 correct FGS i.e. 15th?

Got to scrape for anything I can get after my VOID :D

No, as I explained here, in the event of players being on equal points, then the number of CS/Correct Score predictions takes top priority, followed by FGS & so on.

I don't remember it being this complicated last season Mate :D and that's not a dig at yourself :P

Aye, it's 'evolved' like a bio-electronic AI organism mate. :D

In fairness though, the developments have been in keeping with and in the spirit of what Bluebear54 started and developed himself over the course of last season and I think he'd probably be happy to see the way it's working now if he was still with us.

Mind, we were only a handful of posters predicting for fun, but Gordon started developing a proper system and continued to improve it, so when he passed it over to us I ended up thinking, right, let's make it as good as possible.

I looked at all the options and ended up blending Gordon's system with ideas from how prediction leagues are run on some of the big footy forums down south and that's where the idea for a separate sub-forum and separate threads for each match came from because that's a common way for footy forums to do their own prediction leagues.

The development/extension of the rules has come about as a necessity because of the number of players in the league now and the fact that we started out the season with a slightly more competitive edge/vibe, so it just made sense to try to make it as logical and fair as possible before the season progressed any further.
