gisabeer 409
thought hutton and crawford did ok. clark and gallacher got their goals too. Our defence again is an absolute shambles. Mcgregor showed his class when he shipped their goal and in the end we were lucky not to concede another 3 or 4. the highlanders passed up some guilt edged chances to bury us. another season of disappointment is on the way as far as our standard of play is concerned and i fear we could langiush in the lower leagues a little bit longer than we bargained for. Mccoists ineptitude as a manager is about to be laid bare for all to see over the coming season. He wont walk. the board cant afford to pay him off. were going to have to sit it out till his contract expires.

pmu 0
I've said it before. As this is crux season for us the board should give ally and co a years notice on their contracts. That gives freedom to renegotiate a new one next year if they feel he has done a good job and an out if he screws up. If he doesn't like that then he can walk! NOW!

the gunslinger 3,366
these teams we are playing are awful and we are at best scrapping wins. i do hope its the heat affecting us.
pmu 0
Is he not on a rolling contract? I believe so. I have read before that only way to avoid a pay off would be to issue one years notice to discontinue. That would not often happen as football as A. Few managers would accept such a vote of no confidence B. Most clubs entering into such a deal would know they can afford the pay off. My take A. I don't give a flying f @#* what he would think about it. B. We can't afford a million plus (backroom etc and deferred "pay cuts)
Zappa 0
these teams we are playing are awful and we are at best scrapping wins. i do hope its the heat affecting us. These wee teams we're playing in North America have looked better than most of the teams we've faced in the Scottish lower leagues over the past two seasons. As for the heat, it shouldn't have been an issue last night because the temperature in Victoria wasn't particularly high and the humidity was below 60%, but the two games down in California were played in high temperatures with almost 90% humidity, which is really really tough going if you're not properly acclimatised.
The Bluebell 0
Go along with what's being said, the first picks are hardly setting the heather on fire are they.but as we saw last season it didn't really matter how they played as they we're almost guaranteed their place next game.

Rolling contract is it not so someone has to blink first.
