The corporate speak from the infamous business review.

"Strengthen the Club’s Football Operations - With the creation of the new position of Chief Football Operations Officer, with specific responsibility for developing best in class football operations support. This new role will support the Football Manager and the Board and will concentrate initially on developing player talent identification, scouting and recruitment capability"

Corporate speak indeed

Honestly, sometimes some remarks leave you utterly speechless. For ages we (all) have criticised the club for not having a decent setup. Now, that the board - infamous or not - starts putting the house in order in this respect, people start giving them pelters nonetheless.

I don't think the board are being giving pelters. Many of us, myself included, question this appointment(whoever gets this position) and wonder how it will benefit Rangers in our current predicament

Quite.

Where have we started to put our house in order? Can you provide me some evidence? Any scouts yet?

Is "pelters" common in Berlin/German parlance.

Okay Guy's I am going to repeat what Zappa said and that is to cut out the personal stuff. A troll will never be consequent and just argue for arguing sake. DB is consequent in his support for the board and is entitled to have his opinion. Just because people have a different opinion does not make them bad people. So lets just respect each others opinion even if it does not suit your own agenda.

Just to reiterate, being not "against" the board per se does not exactly equate to liking or "supporting" it. Much of what it and the directors do doesn't sit well with me either. Yet, for me it is neither a "milkmaid's bill" (as we use to say) that they are by default someone's patsy or work for some shadowy puppet master - and all combined to drain the club out of any pound that there is. I - at times - look at what they do from a more "neutral" perspective, what they attempt to do - at least on face value - and why. That does not mean that I support anything they do or that I am any less vigilant about what they do. Same goes with King BTW, who we probably all would like to have as "treasurer" (someone who can help the club in times of need) or fall-back option. The sad thing is that only the future knows how things will go for Rangers FC.

As I said above, the possible appointment of Nerlinger will be a step into the right (and modern) direction.
