Rangersitis 0
Wishing for objective and quality reporting from the redtops is futile and anyone doing so should know they are wasting their time.Is it not a greater shame and importance that we can't believe a word that comes out of the Rangers boardroom ? And regards transparency, are the VB ready to expand on issues they discussed with the board a few weeks ago ? According to their Twitter account, the report was on their site and would be made available to everyone else in the near future. That was over a week ago.
Super Cooper 0
So the board want £8m. King says he has between 30 and 50 sitting there, they should call his bluff.
chilledbear 16
So the board want £8m. King says he has between 30 and 50 sitting there, they should call his bluff. That they don't should tell us something.
Calgacus 8
So the board want £8m. King says he has between 30 and 50 sitting there, they should call his bluff. Why would he give them money, just to watch it disappear down a black hole with all the rest of the money that has passed through the club the past 2 years or so?

He has already said that he would underwrite a rights issue up to £50m but that he would not line the pockets of those running things now. This story is about unissued shares which would only be made available to existing shareholders.
Super Cooper 0
That they don't should tell us something. They seem very reluctant to give up power for some reason, i think we should be told why. Anyone? Why would he give them money, just to watch it disappear down a black hole with all the rest of the money that has passed through the club the past 2 years or so? Money cannot disappear down black holes, it will be accounted for as it has to be, he has been bold and brave enough to say he has tens of millions to invest, he should be given the chance now. I assume this £8m will go directly into running the club as even Stevie Wonder can see we don't have enough cash to operate this season. Estimates of losses of £500k per month.

He wants the fans to do the hard work for him.

That may, or may not, be so, but what does it have to do with the share issue story? If they do 'call his bluff', what is your idea of how they get him to invest?

How much was lost to fees in the last accounts? Around £3million? How much has been wasted on onerous contracts and less than shovel ready projects like EH? Sure the £67m has largely been accounted for. However, it's also largely been mismanaged. Would you give your money to the same people to spend?

If they do 'call his bluff', what is your idea of how they get him to invest? It was not really about the share issue, more If they need money, which they do, why not ask King for it. Give him a chance to plough the millions in he claims he has.
