RANGERRAB 3,653
Would the SFA need to make a special application to UEFA for this to happen ? Will our CEO be looking into this do you think?
BEARGER 1,830
We would need to win it first and with McCoist's record in cup games it's highly unlikely.
Super Cooper 0
We would need to win it first and with McCoist's record in cup games it's highly unlikely. We could lose in the final to a club already qualified through league placing meaning we still qualify. Granted getting to a final is as deluded as thinking we could win it. It;s just not going to happen, certainly not under this management team. We got lucky this year with the draw, even in the Semi, which we should have won.

der Berliner 3,743
Would the SFA need to make a special application to UEFA for this to happen ?Will our CEO be looking into this do you think? Ever the optimist? That's the spirit! Three years of business accounts. Win the cup. SFA decides whether to apply (you know that it is loaded to the hilt with Yahoos?). UEFA may be kind, since we were actually victims of a criminal. One of their recently named "financial fair play" officials is a former Yahoo director though, methinks. Not that corruption runs deep with UEFA and their policy untowards e.g. the Spanish teams when it comes to tax and insurance dodging is scandalous, at best! People tried to calculate it and IIRC, if we win the cup next season we might enter the EL at the end of next summer. Qualifiers most likely, given the firepower of the Scottish teams these last few years. The last problem we might face is that IIRC the SFA has to apply for all possible participants before the financial year is over, i.e. the third year of trading for RIFC. Thereafter, we can qualify normally.
Frankie 8,562
One of Charles' favourite tricks was to show fan group leaders emails from UEFA saying if we qualified they'd allow us special dispensation to compete despite the accounts rules.
the gunslinger 3,366
i expect if we qualify uefa will let us play no problem.
