MoodyBlue 0
His trademark turn. Defenders knew it was coming ................ and still couldn't stop it. Mols all day long for me. agreed mate. everyone knew he would do that move but most defenders were simply incapable of stopping him. Was fantastic to watch.
Crimson Dynamo 128
Negri would have broke all sorts of records had he screwed the nut, but for whatever reason it wasn't to be the case I never thought Mols was the same player when he came back from injury. For what it's worth I think they'd have made a fantastic partnership up front
craig 5,199
Not even debatable for me. Mols wins in a landslide for me. Could do it all. Negri could score goals but Mols could do that and a whole lot more. Mols, truly world class and could have become one of, if not the, best striker in the world at the time had he not had that injury.

That wouldn't have happened had he had been world class. He had a special talent, but come on.

He was 28/29 when we signed him and never a regular in the Holland squad. His goal record wasn't that great either in Holland. Certainly was a great player for us pre-injury though. To be anything like world class you really need to be consistently performing in top tournaments, at international level etc. World class forwards at that time were the likes of Henry, Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo, Batistuta, Bergkamp etc.
