I've just watched one of the most exciting games in a World Cup for a long time. Even the goalless 90 minutes was exhilarating. Think it has been excellent, even the knockout games, which are notoriously cagey affairs, have been mostly good games. The fact all 8 group winners have made the last 8, with only really Costa Rica being a surprise package, means we should have some cracking games to look forward to, with all the defensive and boring teams on their way home. It is mouth watering but Colombia, France and Belgium will have something to say about that.
