Whosthedado 1,670
Neil Lennon is to part company with Celtic after four years as manager following talks about his future. It is understood that the former club captain had been considering his position for some time despite securing a third straight Scottish title. He has been concerned about this playing budget for next season. The 42-year-old Northern Irishman took charge of the Glasgow club in 2010, leading them to three league titles and two Scottish Cups. Lennon, who also previously led Celtic to Champions League last 16, is believed to have been concerned that his present side would be able to negotiate three rounds of qualifying next season.

So its a case of he will depart the first time he has any real challenge.....makes the three titles he has won seem rather hollow then doesn't it?

Super Cooper 0
Not exactly great news is it? They might actually hire a proper manager now. Roman Baldywash is reporting he decided last week after talks with Liewell. Guess there is no money to spend after all. Lol.

Frankie 8,531
Great news for Scottish football and society. Not so good news for us as Celtic can only improve as a team with a new manager.
Oleg_Mcnoleg 50
If Lawell follows him out, scottish football can start to clean itself up a bit. Can see why he's going though. It's only in Europe that he's going to get any credit and his club's downsizing so that's getting harder.

My dislike of him transcends the normal old firm rivalry. I would say he's a fairly mediocre manager, they might get worse but chances are they will get better. I'm glad Martin O'Neil isn't out of work.
