buster. 5,257
Possibly not but I wouldn't rule it out. Might depend a lot on who if anyone gets signed. I reckon Boyd would be a big draw, much more so than Miller. So reading between the lines from a couple of your recent posts, you seem to see the solution as being a superficial one with a marketing manager as being vital and the media to help promoting the signing of a player(s). A continuation of the 'give the punters 'a perception of happiness, keep them ignorant and spending money whilst we do as we will' strategy that has served us so well. Comes back to the question of Trust, or the lack of. Edited May 22, 2014 by buster.
Frankie 8,652
Anything less than 36,000 is not a good figure when we consider the promises the club made to the auditors. Obviously the 2014/15 price rise may help but if we're as low as 20,000 then the club will be facing serious problems without substantial investment going forward.
the gunslinger 3,366
No amount of pr or marketing will alter the Rangers fans mindset. It goes back generations and we simply will not fund mediocrity. That's all this board deliver and that's me being generous. Tens of thousands it seems simply do not trust this board to deliver. We need investment and change. Somner is a joke as chairman. The easdales damage us more every day. GreenCo continue to put a small group of investors above the club. It all must change ASAP or we will simply diminish further.

the gunslinger 3,366
and the investment will come from where ? deep pockets dave ? No idea but We have an investment group at the club and according to the board in court under oath no less we have promised investment. Plus dave king offering to deliver 50 million over 3 years. Investment seems a simple think to deliver.

Even with 36k renewals most of the extra income from the 2014/15 price rise would go towards paying off the £1.5m+ in short term loans.

buster. 5,257
rangers must be the only club anywhere who have so-called supporters are actively seeking to destroy it.......... We have an ongoing process that is already doing that bit by bit, sucking on the marrow and positioning the assets. The stark reallty is that the 'faultline' created/put in place may mean a dark place is inevitable and it's only the timescale to be determined.

However I am at a loss to see where change is going to come from. It is not the individuals on the board that need to change entirely, it is the power behind the throne that needs changing. That only changes with buying them out, and nobody has the money coupled with the desire to do so. In an ideal world we could have a Dave King/ Jim McColl type guy with the ability to buy the powerful shareholders out now, and then ask the fans to fund a new share issue to get us back to the top. With a proper board in place full of respected businessmen like Wallace (or the chap from Dundee we tried to get before)but without the binds, the fans could finally put this decade of hell behind us and move forward with the focus ON the pitch.
