jhunter 0
Was that when he told us the club didn't own the stadium or when he wanted a Celtic fan to own the club? No. when he said green was not to be trusted and should be starved out. his subsequent actions were totally misguided - probably due to him being so far out of his depth.
simplythebest 0
Even a stopped clock... what i find strange about you is you're anti mccoist - rightly IMO due to his performance yet pro Board despite their performance very very strange. I'm pro backing the club with the vital funds it always requires. I do have doubts about the board but problem is it seems to be a case of one or the other these days no middle ground.
the gunslinger 3,366
Or when he said anyone who bought a season ticket was an enemy of the club. Mind you that's not so far away from the tone of some debates these days weren't you saying we were enemies if we didn't just the other day.
buster. 5,366
Was that when he told us the club didn't own the stadium or when he wanted a Celtic fan to own the club? He did have Green's number and we should have starved them out at that point. What Brown referred to has ended up as a contingent liability/stadium noted in the latest audited accounts.

ian1964 10,780
Nine-in-a-row captain Richard Gough, Treble-winning boss Alex McLeish and former skipper Lorenzo Amoruso have all added their support to the UoF, who are demanding Ibrox is handed over to the fans before thousands of punters stump up for season tickets this summer. The Gers board have repeatedly hit out at the proposals, but Bomber insists it is the right course of action as tensions between the boardroom and terraces continue to escalate. Brown said: "I am not saying to my fellow Bluenoses 'don't support your team'. Far from it. "Support the Rangers all the way and all the time. Buy your ticket on a match-to-match basis if this group are still there next season. "Either do not buy your season ticket at all, or sign up to Ibrox 1972. I think signing up is the best option. "Though I know from many Rangers supporters who I have spoken to that they think it is too moderate. "Many want tougher action against this board. "I understand that, especially after the provocative statement made by the board last week. "But I still think signing up to Ibrox 1972 is the best option, for that gives Rangers supporters the best chance of safeguarding Ibrox Stadium. "What I would also like to see, is the season ticket trust demanding similar security over Murray Park, too. That is a prime site. It took Rangers many years to get that training ground and we do not want to see the club losing security over it. "The fans should demand it is given over to their safekeeping too." Brown has been vociferous in his condemnation of a series of Rangers boards and directors through the club's recent financial problems. And the former Light Blues stopper insists the fact that Rangers legend John Greig has never returned to Ibrox should send a clear message to the supporters. Former Dundee boss Brown said: "It is extremely sad that a man of John Greig's pedigree feels he cannot go and watch Rangers. "Greigy is in his 70s now and he should be a revered elder statesman figure in and around Rangers. "He should be able to enjoy himself by simply going and watching Rangers. "The fact that he will not go, shows Rangers supporters just what the Greatest Ever Ranger thinks of this regime." http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/rangers/bomber-support-rangers-not-the-rangers-board-163452n.24220068

Most of what Brown came out with was crap. Talk about reinventing history.
Frankie 8,684
I'm not sure if these ex-players/managers are any more clued up on the situation than we are but the fact they're prepared to stake their reputations on the issue is worthy of examination. While it's difficult for any fan to back their view per se, I also find it bizarre when people want to mock them. I guess it's reflective of the whole divisive debate which, because of the club and Dave King's complete inability to engage, has become farcical.

That's harsh on McCoist - imagine the board had the equivalent of 33 wins and 3 draws... but that's fantasy land at the moment - they've achieved the equivalent of relegation.
