Gribz 829
Im glad he is employed so he doesn't make the available list for future Rangers manager. Worst Scotland manager of all time! Even though Locke wasn't great and Im no fan it does seem a bit harsh on him. Sounds a bit like 'thanks for getting us through the season when nobody else would but jog on" Craig Levein will be named director of football at Hearts and manager Gary Locke has been told he has no future at the club, BBC Scotland has learned. New owner Ann Budge is at Tynecastle for meetings over the club's future and Levein is also in attendance. Locke and his assistant Billy Brown left the ground without making comment, but BBC Scotland has learned they have no future at the club. Levein will have overall control of football matters at Hearts. The former Scotland boss played for the club for 14 years and managed them between 2000 and 2004. Locke, whose contract expires this summer, recently called for Budge, who agreed a deal to take Hearts out of administration, to clarify his future. Hearts, who started the season with a 15-point deduction for entering administration, were relegated from the Scottish Premiership. They ended their season on Saturday with a 1-1 draw at St Mirren.
Scott7 5,918
Talismanic former player, diehard fan of the club - is he their Super? If so,a good time to let him go and get a football manager in.
Whosthedado 1,670
Very harsh on Locke! 4-6-0 at Ibrox for the Jambos then is it!

Ally albeit with a heavy salary stuck around during times where we didn't know if we had a team or league to play in, Levein seems sneaky to me and comes in as the off field problems look behind them. It will make beating Hearts next season a bit sweeter.
Whosthedado 1,670
With you 100% Gribz mate. Cant stand Levein. Remember him moaning a few years back when we beat Dundee Utd at Ibrox, basically accused us of cheating!
The Real PapaBear 0
excellent news. Hearts under Locke were starting to be a force to be reckoned with and indeed they had the best record in the top flight over the past two months. no chance of that now.

Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Good job Levein isn't manager because he would cause Ally major problems.

BrahimHemdani 1
Two terrible decisions by Hearts, what exactly was Locke supposed to do with a bunch of kids. If it wasn't for the points decuction, Hibs would be down automatically and Hearts would be in the play-off by one goal. I wonder what qualifications they think Levein has for DoF?
