JTP 0
Rangers must rate him if they offered him a new contract!,which he declined to make his move. We handed out new deals to Hutton, Hegarty and Perry not so long ago ............. on that basis nothing is clear.
Super Cooper 0
No idea how anyone can disregard the importance of this watershed moment in not just Rangers' history, but Scottish footballs history. This should set alarm bells ringing in every Bears ears. An absolute disgrace.
Super Cooper 0
As truly heart breaking as Charlie Telfer's decision is for Bears, it is the frightening reality of our club's situation. .............. and Graham Wallace says? "Give me 120 days."
Calgacus 8
I don't support the board, but Telfer leaving could be due to problems on the football side as much as with the business side.

It's nothing to do with the business side mate, this is 100% football related.
Bigcid 0
How many on here have seen Telfer play? How many on here go regularly to our youth games? How many on here really know what sort of "talent" Charlie Telfer is? I do not. What I do note is that more often than not many of our players who are playing for the first squad get dogs abuse by those keyboard warriors. Folk who want to see our youngsters play instead, people they hardly ever see in person. And for some reason people assume that all our youngsters are of the same talented ilk as Macleod or Aird. Not least because even those warriors' grannies are better than those sporting the first team's colours. Aye right. Some people howl in derision about some of our players' "lack of quality". People likewise howl in derision when one of our youngsters is released or jumps ship. No matter the reason. We've sent dozens of young players - thought to be talented - away over the years and you have to look rather hard to find anyone of those making a real name out of himself. 1 in 20? 2 in 20? Does our keyboard experts know how good Telfer actually is? What sort of smashing player he will become? I for one wish him all the best and hope he becomes a fine footballer. Right now, his place in the Rangers midfield is barred by Macleod, Law, Black, Aird, McKay and Co.. Why would he stay? Do we actually know whether there are different reasons than playing first team football too? Nope. But let's have a go at the current regime nonetheless. Have a go at their youth strategy, if any. A youth team an strategy that will fail when one or two players leave for pastures new. Well well. No matter what way you try and paint this db its a disgrace that the board allowed one of our most talented youngsters contracts to run down without realizing.
the gunslinger 3,366
It's nothing to do with the business side mate, this is 100% football related. don't forget we "forgot" to offer him a contract. then did after utd made there move utd to get a fee. the board are delighted hes leaving and the only reason a fee hasn't been struck as utd think they can get a bargain at tribunal by claiming we have only existed for 2 years.
the gunslinger 3,366
Ps the notion we offered Telfer more money than utd is nonsense I am told. More to come on all this soon.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
It's a no brainer for him. Either a year in the u20's with us or the chance to get first team football at Utd.
the gunslinger 3,366
Super told him we were buying 6 players for the first team. Boy would be lucky to get a game for the u20's after all the first team rejects move down.
