I am very disappointed that we have loaned out young Gallacher.

There is no reason I can see that this young man can't make it in the first team.

Totally and utterly depressing.

When are we going to see the end of this car crash of a management team?

Why? How many times have you seen him.

If he's that good he'll make a big impression at Cowdenbeath and we'll get him back in January.

He's better off there for the time being and we can make a better assessment of him.

Well we saw a bit of him at end of last season when he added a spark to a bored jaded team. Would love to think the loanee's will come back ready for action. History would sugest otherwise. If he wont trust them now what evidence is there that he will later in the season, nevermind next year spfl!

One only had to look at the bench on Saturday to know that Ally has no intention of playing the youngsters this season.

It's clear that he's going to rely on an "experienced" group professionals and his tactical genius to get us back to the SPL. The average age of our starting XI on Saturday was 28 with 4 players 30 or well over. Add in Miller for Clark would take it to an average 29 with half the team that age or older. I make it we're down to around 27/28 in the first team squad now including 4 or 5 goalkeepers. It's going to be a long hard slog this winter.

From that point of view it's good that these youngsters are going to get a game somewhere but equally playing for the likes of Stranraer and Clyde are hardly going to prepare them for life in the SPL if they are part of our future plans. Gallagher in particular was our leading scorer in pre-season and should be getting a chance to develop as a potential future CF.

Even more so now than in the lower leagues we have missed a tremendous opportunity to bring through a new group of talented young players.

Are any of these clubs contributing to the players wages or is it just a "get a game" exercise on our part?

And what of Barry McKay and Kyle McAusland?
