the gunslinger 3,366
Probably looking for at least triple what we can offer. i am sure he would take 5 or 10 times what we can offer but we only realistically need to be the best offer. probably the best in scotland will get him. he seems to want to come home to scotland. as i say there is a moral and legal aspect to whether we can afford to offer him anything but if we ignore that beating dundee utd and aberdeen should be easy. 1200 a week is a top wage at utd. not sure about aberdeen.
the gunslinger 3,366
No rumour involved here, but Jermaine Jones in the US' midfield put in some rather good performances in midfield at the WC. Seems to be their dominating character these days, workrate second to none. And ... he's a freebie these days! do we have scouts at the world cup and if not why the hell not. rhetorical question and not aimed at you db.
Darthter 542
do we have scouts at the world cup and if not why the hell not. Durrant & McDowell are watching as many games as possible....does that count???

Talking about Jones, not Boyd. Boyd we can easily afford as nobody decent is after him.

der Berliner 3,997
While the World Cup might be all-consuming, our first pre-season fixture is actually next week's Thursday
calscot 0
Boyd has reportedly signed for us: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2665933/Kris-Boyd-rejoins-Rangers-ditch-bid-snatches-striker-Aberdeen.html
calscot 0
Kris Boyd is making a dramatic return to Ibrox after Rangers made a last-minute move to persuade the striker to sign for them rather than Aberdeen. The 30-year-old Scotland international, a free agent after running down his Kilmarnock contract at the end of a season that brought him 22 goals, has held talks with several English Championship sides as well as top-flight clubs north of the border. Aberdeen looked to be in pole position after manager Derek McInnes confirmed a deal had been put to Boyd and said he was confident it would be accepted. But Sportsmail understands Boyd has agreed terms with Rangers and will spearhead their attack, as they bid to continue their fast-track return to the top tier. It will be a popular move with Rangers fans, after Boyd racked up over 100 goals in a four-year stint at Ibrox that ended in 2010.
