Rangersitis 0
for next season we need top class players that can win the spl in prep for our return to the top league. There is no money to sanction that sort of spend, and even if there was, it is just the same unsustainable model that has been in place for years.

der Berliner 3,805
money can be raised and it needent be. celtc manage it no problem. we will need to. When did the Yahoos "raise" any money? They got it from rather fortuitous CL campaigns and transfers out that beggar belief. I reckon they have sold much of their crown jewels by now though and we'll have to see how it goes for them in August.
Rangersitis 0
money can be raised and it needent be. celtc manage it no problem. we will need to. Do they manage it 'no problem'? I have no idea of their finances, but I would have thought that they would have profited greatly from uncontested entry into the CL, and partly as a result of that exposure, have been able to buy low and sell high. There are no guarantees that shelling out millions would lead to that stranglehold being broken. Rangers fans forget about financial recklessness in the same way women forget about the pain during childbirth. It's bizarre!

It's not unbelievable that if a player impresses on the European stage, they will attract interest from clubs within the richer leagues. See Alan Hutton for further proof.
