Frankie 8,562
The Blue Order is confirming that we are reluctantly not renewing our season tickets for the 2014/15 season. It is, however, our intention to buy tickets for home and away games on a match-by-match basis so that we can continue to give our full support to our team. Unfortunately, until further notice, we are unable to accommodate any new requests to join TBO or for seat transfers into our section however we would welcome others to congregate with our group in BF5. As part of the Union of Fans umbrella group, TBO have been at the forefront of recent protests against the board and we strongly urge Rangers FC to engage openly with concerned supporters and potential investors to safeguard the club's future.
buster. 5,183
Up-front money to people you have no good reason to trust would be crazy. Besides the board (this week in court) have said they have other ways of funding the cashflow throughout the summer.
Bluedell 5,624
If they are continuing to attend all the matches, what's the point?
BlueMazza 0
If they are continuing to attend all the matches, what's the point? The point is to not give a pile of money in one go, for that to disappear. It's to try to force change. Rangers have had extreme good will in the last two seasons, with fans buying an incredible number of season tickets given the leagues we were in.
buster. 5,183
If they are continuing to attend all the matches, what's the point? Perhaps a lack of trust and the want of a tool that pushes ongoing accountability.
Frankie 8,562
If they are continuing to attend all the matches, what's the point? Perhaps more of a symbolic than financial lever but an important show of distrust nonetheless...
the gunslinger 3,366
If they are continuing to attend all the matches, what's the point? attendance can be withdrawn at a moments notice. they can also join rangers1872 on an individual basis now.
Bluedell 5,624
The point is to not give a pile of money in one go, for that to disappear. I don't really get that. OK, it stops the club spending cash on transfer fees or signing on fees, but whether you give the cash in July or October, it ends up in the same place and will just "disappear" later rather than sooner, if that's what you think will happen. It's to try to force change. Surely if you want to do that, you don't attend the games?

Fair enough, but it seems a bit like cutting off your nose.... You can still protest at the games which is a lot more symbolic and many won't be aware that you haven't renewed.

You can still protest at the games which is a lot more symbolic and many won't be aware that you haven't renewed. it makes the board more accountable though. if they want them to keep going the have to behave correctly. as a personal example if they ever sell ibrox i will never set foot in it again knowing the money is going elsewhere. or part of it. thats why i can only justify a season book through rangers1872. if you give them season book cash they have free reign for a year.
